Our church was born out of prayer and a passion to establish a Bible-teaching church in the city of Cardiff. We desired a church that would exalt Jesus as King of kings and Lord of lords; elevate His Word; be passionate about faith and prayer; and would open its arms to people from all walks of life. 

It all began back in 2001, when Pastor John Vickery (a native of Wales, though pastored in England for over 30 years) answered the call of God and moved to Cardiff, starting a prayer meeting in his home for the people of the city. Several months later, and with all of four people, Calvary Chapel Cardiff began holding Sunday services at the old UWIC Fairwater campus (now a housing estate). 

As the years went by the church began to grow, as people committed their lives to Jesus, and began to grow in their faith. Multiple marriages, births, new births and baptisms later, we are blessed to have a church family of all ages, and from all walks of life who love Jesus, love each other, and would love for you to join us too!
